As is common with technology the options for computer assisted automation in manufacturing have not only become more advanced, but the machines and computers have also gotten much smaller in the past decade. This also means that tracking the movement of data requires courier software or another tracking program so as to keep a handle on just where those pieces of data are headed after they're downloaded from a remote location. Tracking for some companies has become a full time job.
